We recently used this for our uppababy G-luxe on a plane flight- fit fine with room to spare. The quality of the bag is good, no worries. Just threw it in the underseat bag of the stroller until it was time to check it.
Which brings me to the issue. At check-in we were given the "gate check" tag, which the airline employees put on the handle of the stroller. But in the bag, you actually need that tag OUTSIDE. So when the time comes to pack the stroller away and hand it off, well meaning airline employees expect you to fold the stroller and hand it to them. NOT fold the stroller, pull the tag off, put the bag on the floor (of the jetway where everyone is crowded) so you can put the stroller in it, zip it up, put the tag on the outside... well, you get the point. And all this while trying to get a baby on a plane. It was awkward, and doesn't build on the efficiencies that airlines are used to. For that reason, I don't recommend purchasing it. It just didn't seem to help as much as it inconvenienced us. However, the stroller was clean and in one piece when we arrived, so that's good.
If you want a stroller bag, this is a good one. But maybe this is one item you don't need.

I like this bag but it didn't even withstand one trip to Orlando. I don't suppose any bag is made to stand up to the airlines. I'll keep searching for a bag that can.

This bag worked great for us for trips over Thanksgiving and Christmas. We had it on 8 flights (with connections) and it kept my son's stroller in great shape. It's really durable fabric and came through with flying colors. The bag opens up very wide so it was easy to stand the stroller up while folded, drape the bag over the top, then zipper it around and between flights we just kept it below the stroller. I even used it when I put the stroller in the back of my brother's pick-up, which looked a lot dirtier than an airplane hold!

We used the Rover Gear gate check bag for family trips over Thanksgiving and Christmas, and it worked very well for us. Easy to use, I just stand the stroller up in its folded position and drape the bag over the top, then zipper it around. Since it can open really wide, it's pretty quick to get the stroller in and out. We had it on two round trip flights with connections (eight separate flights) where it held up perfectly, and kept the stroller clean and dry. When we were in the terminals we just kept it in the basket underneath. I even used it before dropping the stroller into the bed of my brother's pickup, which looked a lot dirtier than an airplane hold.

I bought this with confidence based on most of the really good reviews. However, I was very disappointed when on the 2nd flight that we used this bag on, the bag developed a slight tear. I was putting in the Graco stroller into this bag, and it fit reasonably well (i.e., I wasn't trying to stuff it too tightly into this bag), so I was definitely surprised when I found a tear in the bag so soon.
This is definitely going back to Amazon, and I'm on the hunt for a different one now.
UPDATE TO ORIGINAL REVIEW (June 2, 2010):
Within a day or two of me posting this review in early January 2010, I was personally contacted by the CEO at Rover, and he sent me a very gracious note apologizing for my experience and asking if I would go through the inconvenience of sending them the damaged product (instead of Amazon) so they could do some product testing and understand how the product failed. Rover volunteered to pay for the shipping of my bag, refund the money I spent with Amazon, AND sent me an even nicer one of their Greenwich bags, which we use for traveling with an umbrella stroller. This is what I would consider a textbook example of exemplary customer service, and I'm definitely a fan--a great example of turning a negative situation into a positive one. Very impressive, and kudos to Rover! These guys are serious about product quality and taking care of their customers!
