 "Very Dangerous Stroller - Buyer Beware" 2010-06-14
By Sara (NY, USA)
Throughout my second pregnancy, I agonized over which stroller to purchase for my new baby girl. I was certain that, unlike the stroller I had bought for my first child, this one would be perfect, since it was chosen by a highly educated consumer, e.g. I was already experienced as a mom, and therefore knew what to look out for. I was attracted to the Bee for the same reasons as everyone else; it's light, folds beautifully, wheels smoothly, fully reclines, is narrow enough to squeeze through tight spaces, and is very aesthetically pleasing. I was very pleased with my purchase for the first few weeks, until I learned the true safety hazard of the stroller. When my daughter was nine weeks old, we were waiting at the top of the staircase in front of my Brooklyn home, for my son's bus. I had the break engaged, and my daughter in the stroller, next to me. Just as the bus pulled up, the stroller suddenly lurched forward, moving too fast for me grab it, and I was forced to watch her tumble down the cement staircase, imagining the worst. When it reached the ground, the breaks still appeared to be engaged! When I contacted Bugaboo, the customer service people rudely told me that it was my fault, since I should have been wearing the wrist strap! They finally connected me to the head of Northeast customer service, Kyle, who apologized and assured me that he would replace the entire stroller. This was months ago, and after leaving him message after message, and receiving no response, I called the general customer service line again. A representative there checked the notes that Kyle made, which apparently said that I told them that I was "unsure if the breaks were engaged," (a COMPLETE lie!) and made no mention of Kyle's promise of a new stroller! When I told him that I had witnesses who could attest to the fact that that the breaks were most definitely engaged, he offered me a new chassis. I hope this is a warning to anyone thinking that this is a safe product for their newborn, or any child.

Love the smooth ride and easy fold!

Especially since I travel quite a bit it's very quick

and easy to unfold. Like the spacious basket.

and it fully reclines.

 "The 2010 version rocks! Compared to everything else on the market." 2010-05-11
By EO Shevtchenko
For me and my family, after having owned the Quinny Buzz 3 and the Peg Perego Si 2010, this is THE ULTIMATE STROLLER. Wish it had come out when my child was born in 2009 - back then we had a look at the Bee 2009 version and found it too fiddly and just generally crappy, but the 2010 one is the bunny. This one, I'm keeping for my baby's future babies!

It's got a few kinks still : the harness is still fiddly and awkward and the reversible seat function is still mission impossible if you're alone outside with your child (even using 2 hands it's quite an operation!) and in order to change from one sun canopy to the other (e.g. the breezy canopy) you have to disassemble the entire hood. I mean, where do the designers think your child is when you're doing all this? Hovering in mid air, waiting patiently?

BUT, these few, minor things, aside, it's fantastic WHEN YOU COMPARE IT TO ANYTHING ELSE ON THE MARKET TODAY. Meaning that even though it's not quite perfect yet, it still beats every other stroller on the market hands down (and this is 1 year of extensive research on the subject talking...).

The Bee 2010 is:

- small (but the seat grows, height and length);

- light (I have to get up (and down) a flight of stairs to reach my apartment and this I can just lift and carry with my 10 months old daughter strapped in, no problem)

- maneuverable (one hand, two hands, all fine - if anything, I have to curb its enthusiam because this stroller pretty much drives itself!);

and further,

- it folds (although if you don't have a car, you're probably never going to fold it anyway - mine just lives,unfolded, under the table in the hall, it's that small)

- the suspension and tyres are really good - I walk a lot with my child and this stroller handles city (even cobbled) streets, grass and even gravel beautifully, much better than any other solid wheel stroller;

- the handlebar extends higher than on any other stroller I've seen (I'm 1.75m and it's actually too high for me at the highest setting);

- basket is roomy (although you can only really reach it from one side)

- and finally the dark khaki color of the hood is very nice, really classy.

One of the most important things I found is the possibility to have my child facing me, which is for some reason quite rare in a lightweight stroller. Well, being an architect I know the reason - reversibility equals more structure equals more weight - but if the Bugaboo team have managed it, it's possible. I've seen so many kids riding around in Maclarens and Pegs, looking really bored and just generally unstimulated, staring out into the world with a vacant gaze...it's quite sad. To me, the possibility to talk to my daughter, have her point at the things she sees on the street with her tiny finger and be able to name them for her, smile and interact with them together, is priceless. As is watching her face as she sleeps peacefully.

So, to recap: Bugaboo Bee + (or 2010 version) is the ultimate (according to me, my baby, my baby's father and grandparents) stroller on the planet.

P.S. DO NOT buy the old version,it's on clearance sales everywhere right now, but just say NO. The new version is 20 times better.

 "Great Stroller Not A Lot Of Cons BUT A Few" 2010-03-24
By CuttingthroughthematrixDOTcom (Wolrdwide)
This is for our boy and we had the bee for about a year but have used it for about nine months now till this day. What can I say. We wanted a stylish, lightweight, durable, safe, quality stroller under $450. What did we get. The Bugaboo "Bee".

We purchased this new from someone I knew. I tried to go look at babies r us but they never seem to have it so I had to check it out online and small mom and pop stores. It looked great, felt great, and was very smooth when steered on bad conditions(NYC).

Ill start of with the cons. Its not a big deal that you don't put in a cup holder, car adapter(to connect the car seat into the stroller), the wheelie board which I think for such a expensive stroller should be included. Again I Looked at all the high end strollers and understand that more $ means better but COME ON. I felt bad enough spending on this stroller but it seemed great and compact. At about six month's one of the breaks works occasionally, so this has troubled me. It works but you have to push it in hard with your foot for me. I read others having the same problem, so if you do have on please reach bugaboo so they can send a replacement for your brakes.

Now below are the PROs.

* Love how it folds! One Snap CLICK and BAM its small like a midget

* The handlebars adjust so I'm happy.

* It can go through several positions so baby can lay upwards or flat. PLUS you can have the baby face you or the world. (Not so new anymore as other brand strollers are now on this concept)

* Fits all type of children small or if you have a big guy GREAT

* Can handle all types of road, rain cover is great, and there has been no where we cant maneuver with this thing or fit through

* Can put the car seat right in. (MUST BUY CAR ADAPTER THOUGH WHICH SUCKS AND CAN BE A CON! SHOULD BE INCLUDED)

All in ALL this is a AMAZING stroller. It seems to be you want the best for your child but there really is no need to spend more then $500 on a stroller system. Im sure there are other comparisons in a lower price range. If you want something stylish, compact, able to handle a lot of conditions, fold-able for easy travel this is it. It is so light but yet feels great and durable. Just felt it was a bit overpriced, instead of its retail price which I think is $500, I feel maybe $250-$325 is more adequate. Such a brand should include these easy to think of add ons instead of making you purchase them so they can profit more.

 "BEWARE......PLEASE READ!!!!!!!" 2010-01-15
By A. gonzalez (New York)
I need to tell everyone who is thinking about buying a bugaboo bee to STOP! The Bugaboo Bee Plus is coming out in March or April of 2010 and it is new and completely improved! The drawback, it costs 100 dollars more which is a little ridiculous. The regular bee has flaws and now they are all fixed in this one but that doesn't mean the price needs to be hiked up. Anyways, I am def waiting for this one, and can't wait. If you want all the info on it, go to [...] I hope this helps a lot of people!
