 "great for the price" 2010-02-16
By Silea (New York, NY, USA)
This is one of the cheapest three-wheel strollers on the market, so it doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles. It does, however, have wheels big enough to deal with uneven sidewalks, poorly shoveled snow, and tree roots. It has a wonderful turning radius, is easy to steer with one hand, and the seat easily adjusts high enough that my son can see what's going on around him and low enough that he can nap.

Given that i'm a huge fan of this stroller, here are some reasons you should NOT buy it, if they're going to trouble you:

1) This is not a jogging stroller. It wobbles a little at walking speed, and more the faster you go. If you're going to jog, spend more and get something sturdier. (This is GREAT walking stroller. If you're just walking, this won't disappoint.)

1a) Some of the blurbs say this comes with a wrist tether for jogging. It doesn't.

2) The child restraint is annoying. The clip is really stiff, so unstrapping the baby can be a challenge. Also, you can't click in one side and then the other. You have to make your kid hold still long enough to put both shoulder/side straps into the buckle at the same time. The crotch-strap is a little short, i often have to hike it up to latch everything. Also annoying. (None of this is troublesome once assembled.)

3) By 'folds flat' they really mean 'folds into a large, clunky triangle'. Getting this stroller into the trunk of a compact car probably requires gymnastics or divine intervention. It fits just fine in our hatch-back, but takes up most of the cargo space.

4) You can't launder the seat

4a) And when the stroller is folded, the seat is on the outside, so it can get awfully dirty awfully quickly.

5) The handle is narrower than the frame for some reason, so i feel slightly bunched up when pushing it.

6) The sun/rain shade is a total waste of space. I have yet to be in a situation where the fold-out canopy could actually shield my child from the sun. The only use i have found for it so far is covering him when we pass under an overpass which hosts many pigeons, lest the pigeons take up target practice.

7) I'd rather have spent $5 less on this and not gotten the useless, impossible-to-use bug netting.

8) The wheels squeak. A lot. (WD-40 fixes it after a few applications.)

9) It's back-heavy when empty, so don't be surprised if it flips up after you take your kid out if you have a heavy drink in the cup holder. It's absolutely perfectly and completely stable when there's a child in the seat, so don't worry about that.

10) It's nearly impossible to adjust the shoulder straps. There are no directions provided on how to, but it's the same arrangement as many other strollers i've seen. However, forcing the clip through the tiny slot in the plywood backing of the seat will more likely break your fingernails than actually succeed.

11) You have to remove the child tray to put the kid in or take the kid out of the stroller, there's no swing hinge or anything to provide simpler access.

If you can deal with those, this stroller is a great deal. I have no regrets about purchasing it, and delight in my ability to walk to the grocery store without having to haul the stroller over every uneven bit of sidewalk. (12-inch wheels are more than twice as good as six-inch wheels.)

 "Happy, Happy..." 2010-02-09
By Joanne M. Schum (New York State)
This stroller I bought for my niece, who lives in Montreal, Canada, is a student and has a busy, active little 10 month old.

My niece reports that her baby loves this stroller compared to every other one she has tried, or had.

My niece is a student, and she pushes the baby to the bus line, they hop on, they hop off at "school - day care for baby" and she again puts baby in the stroller. Then my niece is able to keep the stroller at day care, until she returns to get her baby and stroll or take bus back home.

The one thing that you might consider when selling these strollers with "pumped up" or "bicycle tires" is you need to pump them up when you purchase them. I did not realize it. I am still making sure the tire is going down, and we need a replacement, but a tire gage and foot pump would be ideal for her and many others. Not sure if you are familiar with Montreal, but most people do not have cars - too crowded and mass transit is big, walking, biking, skating to do errands is the norm. That means that gas stations to use an air pump is hard to find.

I am investing in a good gage and pump for her. And my niece will be watching to see if has a slow leak. She is afraid to over fill the tire, as she has no working gage.

We love it, baby loves it, and that is the most important thing that baby is happy in her "new buggy" and loves to go for rides to "school, park, errands, dinner etc".

Thanks

Joanne Schum

 "it works" 2010-02-07
By Rynfir (Kentucky)
well i haven't ran with it yet so i cant say anything about that. but what i can tell you is it works i did a little jogging with it here and my daughter doesnt seem to get bounced around. i like that the snack tray comes off. the wheels i am not sure about yet. i hate the front wheel for sure i can't move it well all the time and when its locked even harder to move around stores and such. it is bulky but useable it fits in my trunk with ease and i have a grand prix. i might suggest it to friends depending on what they are looking for. i will update more as i use it a little more.

 "Excellent Value!" 2010-01-31

We bought this stroller to replace our regular stroller because in too many instances it would not work (ie. park, dirt etc). This thing is awesome! It pushes with ease and my kids actually like going around the block in it beacuse it rides so smooth. My husband is 6 foot tall and is able to jog behind the stroller just fine without his feet hitting the back.

"Just fine for the price" 2010-01-18
By David Hedengren (Fairfax, VA)
While our son was little we essentially used this as a travel system, and LOVED it. His car seat clipped in easily, and the stroller is VERY maneuverable. Big, rubber tires make it easy to go up curbs, over gravelly paths, cracked sidewalks, etc. The big mesh carrier under the seat is great for groceries, spare blankets and toys, diaper bags, etc.

I really only have one big complaint with it. Now that our son is old enough to sit in the main part of the stroller, we are fastening him in with the harness, and the center between-the-leg strap is MUCH too short and close to the rear of the seat. When we put our son in the seat, he is essentially sitting on the strap, and because it is so short, we have to lift him up to buckle it, and the buckle ends up UNDER his crotch instead of in front of it. We've looked several times for a way to extend the strap (it's such a well-designed stroller in other respects we have a hard time believing this major design flaw is for real), but no such luck.
