"Great for runners or walkers" 2010-05-20
By Jesse (New Hampshire)
This stroller provides a smooth, quiet ride for my two month old son whether I'm walking or running. We run over bumpy, broken pavement and often on packed dirt and he sleeps through it all. I bought an padded insert to help support his body, since he was still too small to sit up on his own, and he's very comfortable and secure. Easy to steer, easy to assemble, and very lightweight, I'd recommend this stroller to anyone who is a distance walker or runner. You can't beat it for the price.

 "Awesome!" 2010-01-29

I love this stroller. I decided to buy this particular model due to the excellent reviews and I am very happy I did. I liked the low price, and the fact that it's only 17 lbs makes a huge difference in long runs (I am currently training for a marathon and have to do most of my running with baby). The fixed wheel is not too hard to maneuver (it's safer to run with a fixed wheel anyway if you are going at a faster pace), and the storage is adequate for my needs. I usually put a head stabilizing pad or a blanket behind my little boy for extra padding. I highly recommend this for anyone who doesn't want to spend a ton of money on a running stroller.

"Convenient and good quality stroller" 2008-05-01
By Momma Loves Rings (Las Vegas, NV)
I really wanted an orange stroller- and this is an orange stroller (not red as described) so if you like orange, it is! This stroller has everything I need and it was easy to put together, despite the unusually vague instructions. No problems with alignment. I got this model because I thought the hand brake would be helpful...I was going to use it roller blading but the instructions warn against it. So if I don't actually roller blade with the stroller, I see no point to the hand brake and wish I had gotten a model with a revolving front wheel, because it truly takes some getting used to tilting the stroller on it's back wheels to turn it.

"Good stroller, storage little difficult" 2007-10-19

Stroller is very lightweight and great for jogging on pavement; gives nice smooth run. Have yet to take offroad. Folding/storage is more cumbersome than with some other strollers I've used due to taking front wheel on/off.

"It's great for the price" 2007-08-23
By JAVIER (Costa Rica)
The stroller is great for jogging, it goes smooth, it's light as it has an aluminum frame. The wheels are great for both smooth paved surfaces or for off-road terrain.

Although it is hard to detail-tune it, because it does not go totally straight (maybe half a degree to the right, and after adjusting it, maybe half a degree to the left), but you can manage it.

Compared to the high-cost jogging strollers, it is just great.

Of course the front wheel does not turn, but that's the design! it is for jogging! not for going shopping through narrow aisles.

The break needs to be adjusted by a bike expert, the security strap is great.

It does not have a 'one-hand-fold' thing, but it has a practical and secure way to do it. Easy to assemble.

 "My Thoughts" 2010-05-23
By Pamela M. De Cantu (texas)
I find that it is well made, fairly easy to assemble and comes with many options. It is easy to unfold and stow. It is fairly stable and easy to maneuver. It is handy having the tandum seating. I haven't had it long enough to really attest to its durability yet. Overall it is well made and thought out.

I read many reviews on many strollers before making my decision, and I think we ended up making a great decision. This stroller has been excellent for us.

This is a great product & I would recommend it to anyone. The color is great for a girl or a boy.

 "Love the color/pattern" 2010-05-19
By first timer (Wa)
I just bought the Chicco Key Fit Travel system in "Romantic" and LOVE it! I knew I wanted this stroller having talked to many people who currently use it. It has great safety ratings and is light weight yet durable. It comes in quite a few color choices but Romantic was only viewable online. No stores have it in stock to look at which is unfortunate because it is an awesome pattern. It does look like the color swatch on the chicco website but even better in person. It is so gender neutral with the black/grey/white but the small pattern of the dk grey gives it a softer feel. It is better than what I expected and a very modern look. I almost went with the "cubes" pattern but now having seen the Romantic I am very happy with my choice! It will be great for our baby girl and any future babies. No need to buy a different color if we have a boy later. Stores are missing out by not having this pattern in stock at the store to see!

The car seat is very easy to install. We haven't used the stroller or car seat yet, as we are waiting for the arrival of our baby. The stroller was easy to assemble. Materials look to be of good quality. These were the highest rated for safety according to the Consumer Reports Magazine. I trust these will be great.

By Mary Essayian (Panama City, FL)
My husband and I purchased the Chicco travel system for our first child as a newborn. So far I have no complaints. We compared this system to several Graco models, but found that this was worth the extra money. The stroller itself has far more control when driving it. Very sturdy..and doesn't wobble like the Gracos. I found that it is especially nice if you are taller and therefore especially nice for the Dads. All of the other systems we looked at, my husband and I would both have to slump to push it, because the handle is so low. The material is durable and weather resistant. And the base of the car seat is adjustable to conform to your back seat and there is a built in level on the base to insure the base in positioned and secured evenly and acurately. Only small complaint is that when the car seat is in place in the stroller, it limits the amount of storage underneath the stroller making hard to put something large, like a diaper bag underneath. But I just place it over the handles and no problem.

 "LOVE IT" 2010-05-24
By Dawn J. Kennedy (LOS ANGELES, CA, US)
Everything about this stroller is amazing. From the way it folds up and has a side handle (perfect for airports) to the way it glides through the small aisles of forever 21 with enough gusto to win the Kentucky Derby. I also like the light violet mist color. I like that it has all the functionality of an expensive Maclaren without the hefty price tag.

There's only one thing I do not like about this stroller. My daughter is an average-sized 15 month old, and the straps, at their very tightest... Are still loose. The crotch strap at the bottom has no give, so when she fidgets around in the stroller and she's wearing a dress, the strap (which is short, flat and rope-like) gets caught between her legs and behind. I have to position the strap right in the middle of her diaper.

The bottom part flips up so their legs can either hang down or be straight. The under basket is so-so, almost pointless. BUT, you can comfortably hang your diaper bag and purse on the handles without a worry, it has never tipped on us. I couldn't have spent my $140 in a better way. I love this stroller. LOVE the look, and they don't sell them in stores so the look is definitely unique.

"Heavy, Bulky, Large and difficult to Open" 2010-05-17

I found this stroller extremely hard to open, certainly not a one hand job. Also thought it was heavy and unneccessarily large for something considered "lightweight" or "umbrella stroller".

 "Very disappointed" 2010-05-02
By
As a first time mom I am big on researching every purchase (big and small) and I love shopping on Amazon because of all the customer reviews. I've always been happy with all the purchases I've made and have always agreed with the reviews on items.....until now. I was extremely disappointed with the Keekaroo Karoo stroller and feel like I owe it to fellow researchaholics to post my review.

First off, let me say that I drove my husband nuts with all the research I did on strollers but I really wanted to find the perfect stroller and get the most for my money. I started researching when I found out I was pregnant but only got serious when my daughter, at 5 months old, began to get too heavy for using her infant seat on the Graco Snugrider (A must have. Dont waste your money on a travel system!) Having used the Snugrider for a few months I was able to get a good idea of what I wanted in a stroller:

Lightweight but doesn't tip over with bags on handles, easy to fold and open one handed, a great sun canopy (I live in Houston), a decent basket, tall handles and no wheel kicking(I'm 5'10 and my husband is 6'1"), full recline, and hopefully, a cup holder. I mainly needed a stroller for running errands, going to the mall, walks around the neighborhood, and daytrips to places like the zoo.

A few that didn't quite make the cut:

-City Mini by Baby Jogger. I really loved it, but ultimately eliminated it from the running because it was a little heavy and I didn't like how the seat doesn't have a really upright position (my daughter likes to sit very upright). It was also fairly wide and I was afraid it might be hard to get in and out of narrow store aisles. For me, this would be a great additional stroller, but it just wasn't the everyday use stroller I was looking for.

-Chicco Liteway. Overall great stroller. Good canopy, good handling, pretty good handle height, decent basket. Almost purchased because I found such a great deal on it, but when I put it next to the other strollers I had considered I realized that my baby would quickly outgrow it (she's VERY tall for her age-29 inches at 5 mos). The seat back isn't very tall and the harness slots don't go up too high. If your baby is average height or short then I totally recommend this stroller for the price, but for tall parents/tall babies it's a no go.

-Maclarens (Quest and techno) I feel like I have to include Maclarens because everyone raves about them but I have never been a fan. While they are lightweight and easy to maneuver I found them to be overrated and overpriced for what you get. They have awful sun canopies, small baskets, are way too short and they tip with bags on handles. Maybe when my daughter is toddler aged and I can get away with a true "umbrella" stroller I may reconsider, but for now I just need more from a stroller.

I finally narrowed it down to two: the Peg Perego Si and the Keekaroo Karoo. I saw a Peg Perego in a store and I really liked it, but it was a little spendy. The Karoo had great reviews and was much cheaper. I was extremely hesitant to buy it sight unseen, but all the reviews were so good and one or two people even compared it directly to the Peg Perego Si, so I took a chance and ordered it. I was so excited when I received it in the mail and opened it right away. Here's my thoughts:

Pros:

-Assembly was a snap and I loved the colors (lilac mist) and the overall way it looked.

-The recline was good and the adjustable leg rest was nice. That's about it as far as positives.

Cons:

-Seemed cheaply made

-The basket was very hard to get to even with the seat all the way up.

-Ok canopy but far from great (a few reviewers said just to unsnap it from behind and pull it down further, but this only made the whole canopy flop all the way down into my daughters face) When pushed back, the canopy really interferes with the handles.

-The seat seemed pretty uncomfortable for my daughter.

-The handles seemed tall enough but something about the wheel placement made me kick them. A LOT. Very annoying.

-Very difficult to open and close. Like stamp your foot and say bad words difficult. Some reviews said that this got better after awhile but I did it multiple times and, frankly, it just wasn't worth the hassle. After trying out all kinds of other strollers that opened and closed so easy this was a deal breaker.

I really wanted to love this stroller and kept playing around with it over the next week but I decided it just wasn't worth it so back it went. Trying to get it back into the shipping box almost made me decide to keep it because it was a chore, but after 30 minutes of shoving and rearranging parts and taping up punctures in the cardboard I gladly dropped it off at the UPS store. Good riddance! I jumped back online and ordered the Peg Perego Si and I couldn't be happier with it! It's worth every penny (see my review) I'm just upset that I wasted my time with the Karoo.

Bottom line: Save yourself the trouble and don't buy a stroller that you can't actually try out first!

"Best stroller I've ever had!!" 2010-04-28
By B. Henry-Hartsfield (Folsom, CA)
I reviewed plenty of reviews before my stroller purchase. I was planning on spending less than $100 on my new stroller, but was very impressed with the reviews from the keekaroo stroller, so I decided to spend the extra $40 to get this stroller. I'm soo glad I did! This stroller is amazing, it got us through 3 days at Disneyland with no hassle. It was really nice for my 4 year old since I knew she'd get tired of walking all day a the park, it was very comfortable for her since it reclines enough so she could take a nap, had a canapy since it rained and was sunny when we were at the park, has a decent size basket, very light weight stroller for travel, and very easy to push around! Out of the 5 strollers i've owned since having my daughter this was by far the best stroller I've had and keep for future children!Keekaroo Karoo Lightweight Stroller, Crimson Red

 "Only a couple complaints" 2010-04-27
By Sarah (Washington, D.C.)
Mostly really like this stroller, owned for three months and used daily. It's sturdy, very maneuverable, easy enough to fold (not one-handed for me), and comfortable for the kids. Fits me fine (5'6'') and no problems kicking the back. I had tried friends' Maclarens and not liked them because they felt flimsy, especially on rouger surfaces. The Kekaroo doesn't shake like a Maclaren (although you do feel the bumps, despite the suspension on the back) and its wheels handle rough surfaces well. Since I mostly walk outdoors, that was very important to me. Things I don't like:

-- Lots of chemical off-gassing when new. I wonder whether the cushy headrest is filled with foam instead of polyester padding? This stroller stunk so badly for the first two weeks that we didn't use it. Smells fine now, but I still worry about the chemicals in the materials.

-- Hard to lift front wheels up onto curbs with a 25 or 45 lb (our children's weights) child inside. Many people are worried about strollers tipping backward. This will not! I'd like it to tip backward more easily so that I can pop it up onto curbs when walking around the city. (I think that is less a problem for my husband who is six inches taller and a lot stronger than I am.)

-- I can't find a way to fully recline it. The material stops the backrest short of a full recline. I decided to look for answers in the reviews, but nobody else seems to have that problem. My two year old still sleeps well in it, though. Also, I find it a little hard to adjust the seat recline.

Overall, very happy with the product for the price.

This item is a 2-pack of manual diaphrams with the stem that works on the manual Avent Isis pumps. I have the Isis Duo electric pump, which has the parts to make one of the heads manual, which is so convenient. However, the pump kit comes with only one of these stemmed diaphrams, however I pump twice a day at work using the manual attachment and dont want to wash it so I needed more. They are impossible to find in stores. Good job Amazon for having them in stock!

 "Does The Job" 2010-01-16
By Mary Keifer
I bought this based on the reviews and I'm overall happy with the purchase. We recently had to switch our baby to a rice starch formula which is thicker and therefore much harder to mix by just shaking. We're also using the Playtex Drop-In bottles, so we can't mix in the bottle...I don't know if that makes the difference, but the only problems I can see is that it does splatter if you don't have a tall enough cup to put it in and it makes alot of foam and bubbles. It will get all the lumps out though which is what I wanted it for.

So the conclusion: If you want a small mixer to get out all the lumps and cut the time of preparing bottles, this is for you. Just watch the foam and find something deep enough to make sure you don't get the little splatters it will create.
