"Great stroller fan at a great price" 2010-04-28
By S3rndpt (Richmond, VA)
I bought two of these to take on our trip to Disney World in April 2010 knowing how muggy Orlando can get in the spring and summer. Both my 8 month old and my 4 1/2 year old LOVED them. The baby could play with it when it was on, and it kept her cool and entertained while she was in the stroller. It also was a great help when she fell asleep in the stroller since it kept her comfortable. The 4 1/2 year old loved hers too, but more often than not carried it around with her instead of attaching it to the stroller. My husband did drop one on the asphalt, and while it knocked the LEDs for a bit of a loop, it continued to work as a fan perfectly (and eventually the lights started working again). I can see where the lights would freak out an adult a bit, but our kids loved them and were fascinated. They're not that hard to disconnect if they really bother you. Do be careful if you have kids with long hair- it will tangle it nicely if the fan accidentally catches it. We had once hair incident with our older daughter, but the fan is not very powerful and we were able to get her hair and the fan separated with a minimum of angst all around. The batteries lasted for the entire 6 day trip, though they were probably on a total of about 10 hours, and they are still going strong now that we're home. These were a great buy, and will be going with us on all our summer trips for the next few years.

"Great fan... didn't like the lights." 2010-04-27
By Mambo Mamma
This fan was great for keeping little one cool at Disney World, but I hate the lights. They make my 8 month old look freaked out every time they come on. I ended up covering the front of the fan with duct tape so she didn't have to watch them.

"Dreambaby is great for a big baby--me" 2010-01-21
By Airedales rule (Joliet, IL)
I bought this fan because of its small footprint and from the reviews it had a decent output of air. I use it in the kitchen to blow a little cool air on me directly when preparing food or anywhere I want to tote it. The size is a little awkward to haul around in a purse, but then I use another battery operated fan for that. It gives off a great light show so I imagine the little kiddies would love it.

I did notice that it started to make noise so I put in on a tea towel and don't have the problem. There is a screw that has to be taken out to change the battery and although that is a nuisance I can see why they have it like that since it is intended for a child's stroller. Overall it is just the ticket for me.

 "Kid's love it!" 2009-12-14
By J. Battershill (New Jersey, USA)
We bought two of these fans over the summer to use while at the zoo or parks. It not only kept a nice breeze on my sons but they also enjoyed the lights and flashing that's part of the center of the fan. It clips easily onto the sides of strollers and definitely would buy again, once these break. Oh, we also got so many compliments about them, a real "eye catcher" to people passing by.

 "Just right" 2009-11-04
By Cynthia Dequenne (Fredericksburg, VA)
We bought this fan for our trip to Disney World in October. Our 4 month old Jake was kept surprisingly comfortable during the hot days. The fan provides a light breeze just right for a little fellow. We would sometimes cool him off with a cold washcloth then allow the fan to do the rest. The blades of the fan are foam so there is no way for his little fingers to get hurt should he try to grab at the fan. He had no problems with the lights like some of the other reviewers did.

This fan really saved us on our trip. Had we not bought it our days would have been short-changed from the heat.

"no more need for that HUGE double stroller! yay!" 2010-02-07
By Hillary Brown (CA)
Sold my bj city elite double (loved it, but 48 lbs, just too big for me and my toddler ends up walking 90% of the time anyways)...Then got this buggy board to put on my bumbleride indie single- LOOOVE IT! so cool, just pop it on when i have both kids with me (27 month old and 8 month old) and we're off! Keeps my toddler safe and close when i need it, otherwise he can walk. Clips up to the back of the stroller if i know my toddler's not going to use it for awhile. I can walk very very comforably with it on as it's super high off the ground and i walk under it. Only downfall is, to be expected, the stroller takes more effort to push and you have to make wider turns when toddler is standing on the board. I can even go up and down curbs (slowly!) with toddler on the board. I thought the small wheels might not push so great but they are pretty smooth. It is a big bigger than i expected and probally weighs around 10lbs. Since you initially attach the connector straps to your stroller (these stay on your stroller even when not using the board) you just pop the arms of the board in the holes and it's ready to go in 2 seconds. Love that. So glad to be done with a huge double i never ended up using as i dreaded lifting it into my trunk and love my b. indie with this buggy board! Get it if your toddler likes to walk a ton and really doesn't need a seat (not napping in stroller- mine never ever does so this is a non-issue). Such a cool baby invention!!

"Nice product but brakes easily" 2010-01-24
By D. Salazar (Usa)
We bought the Buggy board a month a ago and we have been using it just for a few minutes a day, not really heavy use and the connector straps broke yesterday, we were very disappointed because is very convenient when you have two kids and my daugheter loves it but I think it can be very dangerous if your kid is riding it when the strap brakes. very poor quality for a expensive product.

 "This product is rubbish" 2010-01-01
By R. Johnson (New York, NY United States)
I would not recommend this product to anyone. When it is attached and working it is totally fine. However, the plastic connectors that attach the board to the stroller are not very well made. The first time they broke was just a week after I bought it. You can buy replacement connectors but they cost half as much as the board itself - $35 when the board costs $70 dollars - that is a rip off. The second time the connectors broke I just threw the thing away. I refuse to give any more money to this company. Valco has a competing product that I am going to get instead.

"Anchor has broken 4 times!" 2009-10-18
By smiley_suni (New York, NY)
I bought this product thinking it would solve all my problems, and it was great for a while, until it broke after using it for about 2 weeks! The red pin fell out and my son fell to the street. Upon closer review, the band on the other anchor which holds the board to the stroller had started to crack. I contacted the manufacturer, and they appologized and sent a new set of anchors. Flash forward about 6 months later. The EXACT same thing happened!

To reference an earlier post, I do live in NYC where is can be cold and we go up and down sidewalks alot. But note that the first 2 broke within weeks (albeit in march) and then next set was pretty much used through the summer (it broke in september).

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

"Had this item for a month now, so far so good" 2009-10-01
By Momof2 (USA)
I was unsure when I placed an order for this item given the vastly mixed reviews from previous buyers. We've been using this for a month now, no complaints so far with this item. It was easy to install (Maclaren stroller), our 3-year old son climbs aboard and gets off it with ease. Seems to be sturdy (no shaking or wobbling). Overall this is a decent product and would recommend to others.

 "Not enough give..." 2010-02-18
By Julie (Ohio)
Very disappointed in this bag. My daughter bought a similar mesh bag at Babies R Us by Prince Lionhart...and she paid double for it. But as the saying goes, "you get what you pay for". This bag is about the same size but has very little stretch to the top of the bag so it's very hard to get anything in it. My daughters bag will hold two medium size purses but I couldn't even get one in this bag. For $5 it wasn't worth returning so I put it on the umbroller stroller to put toys, or a blanket in. I bought the Prince Lionhart and am much happier with it on my big stroller. I wouldn't recommend this for anyone wanting to carry anything more than a small blanket or a small toy or two.

I got this cover to guard our baby against the cold wind. We live near a mountain corridor and there is lots of gusts during the day. I ended up loving the cover for another unexpected benefits. I can use the cover to place a cover to protect our baby from the sun. Also, when I take her to the mall, I can keep the cover, one to keep the noise out and second it gives me some level of comfort from sick people breathing on her. Ever since I got the cover, I never took it off and use it rain or shine.

 "Finally" 2009-03-16
By A Customer
I bought my Baby Jogger City Mini Double stroller last year after looking at several double strollers. For some reason, finding a side by side stroller with child trays is virtually impossible. It also happens to be one of the features that I really wanted so of course I purchased the trays when they became available. The trays attach to the belly bar with velcro straps. I was a little worried that they wouldn't velcro on securely but they do in fact attach very firmly with adjustable velcro loops. The trays are quite sturdy as well. They can be adjusted higher or lower because the belly bar is adjustable. My twins are 15 months old and even on the lower setting the tray is a little high. I wouldn't suggest these trays for a small baby. They are a lot bigger and higher than what you would see on a single stroller that has a tray attached.

Overall, the trays are good and do come in handy but I think it's kind of ridiculous that it costs upwards of $80.00 just to have child trays on a $350.00 stroller.

 "Double jogger" 2010-04-05
By H. Broadbent (Boston, MA)
I've used the stroller a few times with my 3 month old and 19 month old and the only real complaint I have is the sun visor. It's horrible!!! It's flimsy, blows back with the slightest breeze and is attached at the back so you get no coverage unless you're facing away from the sun! Aside from that, it's a good double jogger... Has great storage space underneath, the canvas parent tray is fine, it actually golds my iced coffee better than hard consoles because it's deep and the drink won't tip or slosh around. It also folds up really easily, which I love, but it isn't free standing once it's folded, you would have to lay it down or lean it against something, but that's not a put off for me. Overall, I'm happy with it... I wish instep would address the visor issue, but I think every double jogger has it's flaws so it's all about what's most important to you! One thing to note... I just use it for walking, and it's great on the beach!

 "don't love it" 2010-04-02
By Emily E. Miller (maryland)
I have a 2 year old and newborn. I am an active walker/runner who lives in a small town. My biggest complaint with this stroller is I practically have to lift it up to maneuver turns. While that may be a good upper body workout, it is a royal pain while walking. I did a lot of research on double strollers before I bought this one. My advice is . . . bite the bullet and spend the money for a good one! I am going to end up buying the Phil and Ted's.

"Do not purchase if you want a working swivel front wheel" 2009-12-03
By momoftwo
If you are a jogger and/or really want a swivel front wheel, do not buy this stroller. It is terrible. The customer service people have all been very nice and replaced the stroller once because of a defective front wheel (it stopped working after 1 outing) but my replacement has the same problem, the front wheel does not swivel. Additionally, this stroller is prone to tipping if you go over uneven ground. I don't know if other strollers in this price category are any better but I would recommend spending a bit more and getting a quality product that will work beyond the end of your driveway. I found a used double mountain buggy that is fantastic.

I have a 4 month old and 3 year old and they both fit in this stroller perfectly!! Easy to fold, easy to push, great product for the $$. I would recommend getting the rain/weather cover when you purchase this as it is hard to find one after the fact that will fit (however I live in Canada so it might be easier in the US).

 "awesome!!!" 2010-03-15
By Aurora A. Artates
I didn't have high expectations to start with but the stroller is everything that I was looking for in a simple umbrella stroller. It has the little speaker for mp3 players which is fine. It plays soft but it makes sense as to not blow out a child's ears too early. It nice and padded, my daughter loves riding in it. The stroller is easy to maneuver and although the reclining is done manually, it's not too bad. I like it a lot. It's nice and light if you need to haul it around too.

 "Great Value" 2009-10-29
By Richard Harris
For this price I could never be sorry! We love it. It is high- I am over 6 ft and dont have to bend to push it. It folds like an umbrella stroller but works like an ordinary full size one (reclining and smooth wheels etc). We take the bus so a stroller that is easy to fold and folds slim is the best, and this stroller has those qualities. One COULD describe it as a little flimsy because everything snaps on as opposed to screws on but it hardly interferes with its operation. We also have no problem folding the stroller with the sun canopy attached. Look, its an umbrella and its CHEAP, looks smashing and works great- what more could you expect or want?!

This stroller is AWESOME! It moves more like a full size stroller and the fact that it reclines is wonderful! I have absolutely NO problem with the shade at all. Folds up perfectly w/ the shade on and I never have to take it off. The only reason I give it four stars is because of the shade. It doesn't cover well, but it does end up getting the job done. This stroller is totally worth the money.

I absolutely love this stroller. My husband and I had looked all over for an umbrella stroller that had taller handles and couldn't find one anywhere. When we got this one, and tried it out we were so excited because it was the first time we didn't have to bend over to push an umbrella stroller. Another definate bonus is the fact that it handles more like a full size stroller.

"Four and half years later... still amazing" 2010-04-24
By K. Leonard (NC)
I just had to review the city savvy. We've had it for four and a half years and through three kids. It's the best stroller ever. I've logged thousands of miles on it and taken it across the country multiple times. What I like about it...

-small (I store it in the front seat of my car so I don't have to open the trunk all the time)

-lightweight

-incredibly durable

-easy to push around in stores or other tight areas

-great sunshade (you have to undo the velcro on the sides)

-nice little infant foot... thing (under the cushion, wraps around the bar on the front, babies love pressing their feet on it and it's nice knowing they won't slip out)

-easy to push with one hand

-and incredibly durable. I know I said that before, but it really is.

Some people say the basket isn't big enough, but I have never found that to be a problem. Maybe I carry around less stuff?

It can be a bit bumpy over rocky asphalt, but that seems to put the baby (or toddler) right out. If it had big, rubber wheels, then it wouldn't fold up as tight. I prefer it the way it is. I seriously take it everywhere.

I've used it with newborns all the way up to three year olds. Once the oldest hit four, she didn't want to go in the stroller anymore, but she'd probably fit just fine. I've seen other moms pushing around huge kids in it.

Bottom line... if you're going to have one stroller. This is it. (If you jog too, get a jogging stroller, but those things are way too big to take with you everywhere.)

"Love this lightweight simple stroller" 2010-03-09
By Alanor Brandybuck (San Jose, California)
I've had it a few weeks now, and I am so happy I bought this for my 9 month old. It's so lightweight and easy to collapse and port around. It's got great steering. It's not heavyweight for neighborhood sidewalk walking, but it's perfect for malls, restaurants, running errands, going to postoffice, grocery shopping etc. The harness is only three point. The recline is difficult to do, it's done through a system of two straps that support the backrest, which you let out or tighten to adjust the recline. It's nowhere as sophisticated or as smooth as a Maclaren, but for the price I paid ($70 on Amazon), I'm more than happy.

 "Good for travel" 2010-02-16
By D. Sjoblom (Honolulu)
We bought this stroller for air travel because the one we have is cumbersome. The Savvy is light and folds up easily. The wheels are small and readily misdirected by sidewalk nooks and crannies, and the handle is a littel flimsy. I do not recommed this stroller for constant use if you go far on poorly maintained sidewalks. Storage capacity is ok, sun hood is vary small. Light, compact, and great for travel.
