By Jaime C. Facchino (charlotte nc)
i bought the preg perego for the only reason it was made in italy and not china. as an italian, i felt like i was helping 'mi familia' - prego!! ok, i am only 1/2 italian and can only do mob accents, but i have to say i absolutely love this car seat and the stroller that we bought w/it. i am on my second son, and over the last 3.5 years, both the car seat and the stroller are a beast. i think the wife and i will try for 3 next year (but since i am 1 yr from 40, idk!!) and if we do, i know it will easily last for #3. we spent a lot of money on the prego's, but our goal was to give it to a young couple when we were done. a way to pay it forward and i can rest easily knowing it kept my kids safe and now someone elses.. God bless america and those hard working italians back in italy making my family safe.

For any multi-car family, it's great to have a spare car seat base for the convenience. There's not much to say about features, except that it does the job, `nuff said!

The seat is a little pricey, but if you shelled out for the Peg Perego infant seat, you probably knew what you were getting into. Despite the price, I'd definitely buy it again.

Made in Italy, good craftsmanship.

Over 80% of infant car seats are installed incorrectly. Do your baby and yourself a favor and have your car seat installation inspected by an NHTSA-certified inspector. Find a free inspection location at [...] I used the site to find a local police station with an NHTSA-certified officer that verified the installation for both my family cars.

"Well, it's sturdy and that's saying something." 2010-02-13
By Ellie (Houston TX)
I love this stroller because it's big and sturdy but there are definitely pro's and cons.

Pros-

-It's very well made.

-You can turn the seats any way you want them.

-The seats are comfortable.

-For being such a big stroller it's amazingly easy to navigate.

-It's got a HUGE basket underneath for discarded jackets, diaper bags, sippy cups, shoes and whatever els your kids throw down there.

-It took about 20 minutes to assemble and the instructions are very clear and simple.

-It collapses easier than most single strollers.

-Unlike a lot of side by side double strollers it fits in every doorway.

Cons-

-It's HUGE.

-You need some trunk space to put this thing in.

-You have to take the seats off to get it really flat. So be prepared because it takes several minutes to take the seats off, fold it up and load it all up in the car.

-You kind of need a plan where you are going with this bad boy. I took my kids to the doctor and had to do a three point turn to get it out of the hallway.

All in all I love it. The only thing I would change is that I would make it collapsable with both seats on.

 "Really pleased" 2010-02-13
By Jessica M. Godin
I have used this product with my daughter since she was born. She is now 7 and 1/2 months old. Overall I recommend this product!

Pros:

Easy to clean- popped the add-ins in the washer (delicate- line dry) and they cleaned up perfectly.

Can't beat the safety ratings.

The stroller is one of the easiest to maneuver of the strollers I have tried.

Seat seems comfortable- my daughter falls asleep in it about every time you set her in it!

Its very sturdy, and the car seat is solid (it makes it heavier, but I think this is a good thing considering what I want it to do!)

Vanity only- but we get a lot of compliments on it!

It has survived me... no easy task!

Cons:

The stroller isn't for anything put smoothly paved surfaces!

The release mechanism for the car seat is tricky sometimes- you have to pull up on it square or it won't budge.

The hoods on the car seat and stroller aren't as sturdy as I would like.

 "Great travel system!" 2010-01-30
By Mandi
I really have no major complaints about this system, having had a Graco travel system with my oldest child I definitely prefer this system to the Graco one. The car seat is a bit bigger/heavier, but honestly they are all heavy/bulky. After the newborn stage I really don't like lugging around an infant seat at all, no matter what brand/style.

I have only two minor complaints. #1 and the most irritating is when you have the infant seat snapped on the stroller (which is not hard at ALL, you just pop it in like you do with the carseat base in the car...of course you need to make sure the seat is reclined fully but it's like that with EVERY travel system out there) you can't easily reach the basket, at least not enough to get in/out of a diaper bag. It's open just enough where I can put some shopping bags with clothes in it. I can't really complain too much because this made me get a bag that I can attach to the handle of the stroller and I'm glad I did, it's so much easier than having to reach down under the stroller to get things. #2, it is hard to figure out how to open/close without reading the manual. I had read the manual while pregnant but honestly didn't read much having to do with the stroller because I figured it was just a stroller, what could be so hard. So when I misplaced the manual and arrived at the mall for my first shopping trip after baby I could NOT figure out how to open the stroller. Later I went home and watched a youtube video review to figure it out. Now that I know how, it's so easy, but yes figuring it out when you are used to other types of strollers can be hard...just read the manual.

My son is 7 weeks old (and 9lbs) and still fits in the car seat very well, he was 5.5lbs leaving the hospital and it fit well then too. I think we are about to move to the second strap setting, but remember when babies are rear facing the straps NEED to be below baby's shoulders. The straps adjust pretty easily too. I just love how the base works with the latch system so easily too, hook it up, press a button and the base is in the car nice and tight. My husband installed it in December during a snowstorm in Wisconsin in the hospital parking lot in less than 5 minutes. I can only comment on using the stroller with the car seat so far, but it glides very smooth and easy. I can easily push it one handed while carrying a cranky baby.

One more minor complaint that I almost forgot, the sunshade on the car seat is very small. Since it's winter I usually have a blanket over the car seat when we are outside anyways so this hasn't bothered me yet but I can see how it might become irritating.

 "Great travel system" 2010-01-27
By AMQ
We love this stroller and cart seat. Although a little on the heavy and awkward side when folded up, it really does open with one hand and all the adjustments to the system are really easy to do. Car seat comes in and out with one hand release and snaps into the base easily. Certainly worth the money from other travel systems.

 "so far so good" 2010-01-21

"Best product for your child!" 2010-01-13
By Shardul Rao (USA)
I bought this product based on consumer report's excellent review. After using it for 5+ months I know why the rated it higher. This is a well built, easy to use and safe product for your kid. Sure there are cheaper alternatives available, but you wouldn't settle for those at the cost of your baby's safety, would you?

The only suggestion I have to the manufacturer is to improve the documentation. None of their products were easy to put together (except car seat which doesn't need any assembly).

 "Good Value Overall" 2009-12-03
By miscellany78 (Lincoln, NE)
I bought the Graco Lite Rider when my chunky 6 month old outgrew his infant seat that we were using with a Snap-and-Go. I had a Graco Quattro Tour with my older son, and I loved it, but I wanted something a little lighter and easier to maneuver this time around. The Lite Rider does meet those requirements, and very well. But I do miss having the amenities of the Quattro Tour.

Overall, I think this is a decent stroller, but not a great one. I would recommend it for shopping trips and quick jaunts, and for people with limited trunk space in their cars, but not for long walks or intense daily use.

Pros:

* Wonderful fabric! My Lite Rider is in the "Pippin" design, not "Tango in the Tongo." They are the same stroller body, though. I love, LOVE the Pippin design. Adorable for a boy or girl. It's attractive without being too cutesy, durable, and comfortable for baby.

* Huge storage basket for a lightweight stroller.

* Decent canopy with a window.

* Child tray and parent tray make the Lite Rider a huge improvement over an umbrella stroller.

* It is indeed light, and it rolls smoothly on pavement or indoors. It's a great choice if you have to lug your stroller upstairs, or in and out of the car frequently.

Cons:

* It's a smidge too short. I do okay with this stroller. I'm just over five-feet-four-inches tall, and it is only a little lower than I'd like it to be; I'm not totally comfortable, but I'm not hunched over, either. But my husband has to slouch a bit, and at five-foot-nine, he is not a large man. Skip this one if you're tall, as there is no way to adjust the height the way you can on some other Graco models.

* The child tray sticks out awkwardly when the stroller is folded, and it also does not swing open and closed.

* The stroller must be reclined to be folded, so if you usually want to use it in the not-reclined position (and I do), you have to straighten it up every single time you unfold it. The basket needs a tug every time you unfold the stroller, too. These little things add up when you're juggling a squirmy baby, a diaper bag, and whatever else.

* The parent tray is attached with 2 screws, but it really needs 4. It keeps popping up in the back. It won't come off, the two screws in the front are tight, but it is annoying.

The bottom line: this stroller is not great competition for a full-sized stroller like the Quattro Tour. It feels cheaper and it just doesn't have those nice extras. I don't think it will last a terribly long time. But when you compare it to an umbrella stroller, it comes out leaps and bounds ahead. So it definitely fills an important niche in the stroller market.

If you're on a tight budget or just need something easy to lug around, you could do a lot worse than the Graco Lite Rider.

 "Light, easy to use" 2009-11-01
By Khiem Tran (Midwest, USA)
We just bought this for a couple of months so still need time to see if it is sturdy. So far, the only drawback is that the four wheels make it difficult to push in pumpy roads. Think maybe we will try a three-wheel stroller next time.

I bought this stroller to keep at my mom's house to have when I visit from out of town. For the price, it is a wonderful stroller!

It is pretty bulky and we had a lot of trouble fitting in the back of her VW beetle (likewise). However, it maneuvers wonderfully and is the best stroller you can get for this price!

 "Great for winter runs!" 2010-02-19
By M.Q. (Albany, NY)
I absolutely love this thing! Now I am able to go running during the winter! My daughter stays so snug and warm with the BOB weather shield. Almost too warm I think. She refuses to wear her mittens and her hat because it gets so toasty inside. I haven't used it in the rain yet but I am sure it works just as well. The only thing I would recommend is to make sure your child doesn't get too warm inside. I am considering getting a thermometer to see just how hot it does get. I usually stop every 5 minutes or so to check on her but it's so hard to tell if she is cold because her hands are far warmer than mine at this point.

By V. Snow (Belgium)
I purchased the organizer to go with my Graco IPO stroller. It works really well. The zippered compartments are plentiful. The mesh portion is great for storing things that are not so valuable. I will say that even though you can still fold the stroller with it attached, I don't. It seemed to give some resistance and if you do fold the stroller with the organizer attached your items are likely to "fold" with the stroller. I found it just as easy to detach the organizer when it was time to fold up the stroller. In short this is well made and has come in very useful for day-today errands and for extended periods at the amusement park. I have used the cup holders for water bottles and soda cans; they fit perfectly. I would definitely buy this again.

I have a double stroller that has no cup holders. I am also unable to hang things on the handles of the stroller, so I bought these with hope I can hang light shopping bags or something. Well, my expectations were exceeded. I am able to hang my very heavy diaper bag on one with numerous shopping bags on the other. Before getting these, I would carry my bag, or put stuff in the seat that no one was sitting in. This makes like MUCH easier. Totally recommend. :)
